A Little History on Sadie
We got Sadie May 18, 2016. We rescued her from an abusive home that we know for sure alternated between either tying her down or letting her run the streets for days on end with little to no food or water and we know they hit her and most likely so much worse that I don't even want to think about. She was anywhere from 4-6 months when we got her and when we were looking at pictures of her before we went to get her, I looked at that little girl and said her name will be Sadie. And it is.
The hardships this little pup had to endure before we got her were terrible and it was honestly something of a miracle that she even trusted us from day one. She was so happy and loving towards us, wanted to play in the car on the way home and even once we got home she was playing and just so happy to be taken away from the hell she lived in. Now, she may trust and love us, but she hates other people. She will growl at anyone who walks in the house that is not us and if you try to pet her she will attempt to bite you. The only reason she hasn't is because people have moved their hands fast enough. She is fiercely protective of us and she seriously gets separation anxiety if mom has been gone longer than an average work day. She will attack us in love and hugs for a minimum of five minutes to make sure that we are back and that her scent is back on us. She is honestly such a sweet dog, but no one will probably ever really believe us because the people before us treated her wrong and we were the first to treat her right. She has trust issues and you really can't blame her for them.
